PalExpo is scheduled for 6/7 July at Olympia London. It is organised by the extremist-supporting Friends of Al Aqsa (see below). Here we profile 37 of the speakers, chosen becaus they have a record of antisemitism or support for BDS or other demonisation of Israel.
The event will feature ‘Interactive Installations’ including:
• BDS: Have a go at knocking down apartheid in a game of BDS bowling.
• Education: what obstacles will you face on your journey to school? Walk towards the oversized book to find out.
• Child prisoners: See what state a child’s bedroom is left in after Israeli troops arrest them during a night raid.
• Water: Fill up the buckets and watch the scale tip when measuring water disparity between Israel & Palestine.
• Checkpoints: Walk with the most vulnerable Palestinians who pass through checkpoints daily. Will you be able to answer their questions?
• Apartheid wall: See how you interact with your family during a meal with the Apartheid wall cutting through the dinner table. A symbol of how families are separated by the wall.
• Settlements: 3D settlements placed on the disappearing maps will show you the density and increase of Israeli settlements over time.
• Sport in Palestine: Score some goals and have a kick about in the football area where you can learn how occupation restricts the beautiful game.
• A&E in Gaza: Feeling unwell? Visit doctors in the Gaza hospital and see the difference in treatment Palestinians receive.
• UN tent: Hear personal stories from three generations on the impact of the Nakba and importance of the Right to Return. Set in a 1948 UN tent.
The event has been organised with children in mind.
There is a ‘Kids’ Village’ and because it takes place over a weekend, there will be many children there. They will be brainwashed against Israel with lies and without for example hearing about why the separation wall was necessary.
Friends of Al-Aqsa (FOA)
Critics charge FOA with expressing support for extremists and terrorist organisations. It supports the Muslim Brotherhood-linked charity ‘Interpal’ (proscribed by the US Treasury) and advertises it on its website. It collaborates with the Khomenist Iranian-funded faux human rights organisation known as the Islamic Human Rights Commission in organising events such as Al Quds day at which public support is expressed for the terror-supporting militia Hizbollah.
Its Chair, Ismail Patel, notoriously recommended to the audience at a meeting some years ago that they read the works of Holocaust denier Roger Garaudy, whose work was also cited in a Friends of al Aqsa report. In 2009, at a rally in support of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, Patel told the crowd:
“Hamas is no terrorist organization. The reason they hate Hamas is because they refuse to be subjugated, occupied by the Israeli state, and we salute Hamas for standing up to Israel […] to the state of Israel: you no longer represent the Jewish people.”
On the FOA website there is an appeal by Raed Salah who has been banned from the UK by the Home Office.
Speaker Profiles
Zwelivelile Mandela Grandson of Nelson Mandela who trades on his name. Propagates the apartheid lie about Israel. Called for Israel’s Ambassador to South Africa to be expelled.
Salma Karmi Ayyoub is a barrister and consultant for Al Haq. Ghada Karmi is her mother. She supports a boycott. Al-Haq specialises in distorting the facts to promote demonisation of Israel. It never reports on human rights violations perpetrated by Palestinians on each other. More recently it has had links to terrorism. The head of Al-Haq, Shawan Jabarin, is prohibited from travelling abroad by Jordan and Israel due to his substantive involvement with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Joseph Massad From Canary Mission: Joseph Massad denies the Jewish connection to Israel, likens Jews to Nazis, propagates allegations that Israel is a “racist settler colony” and promotes the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement. In 2002, Massad reportedly stated that “The Jews are not a nation… The Jewish state is a racist state that does not have a right to exist.” Massad is a professor of modern Arab Politics and Intellectual History at Columbia University (Columbia).
Faiza Shaheen is the Labour candidate for Chingford and Woodford Green. She manages a leftwing thinktank. She tried to defend Corbyn over the Wreath issue.
Ramzy Baroud is a journalist, author and editor of Palestine Chronicle which has published sickening antisemitism.
Gideon Levy is a journalist with a column in Haaretz. Camera says ‘He is known in Israel as an acrimonious, anti-Israel ideologue and activist, recently arrested for spitting and cursing at IDF soldiers, who often invents his own facts to support his radical agenda. His fan base consists primarily of fellow Israel haters and activists, while mainstream Israelis and journalists dismiss him as a dishonest propagandist. Latifa Abouchakra supports Ahad Tamimi who served a prison sentence in Israel for kicking and slapping IDF soldiers.
Issa Amro is described here. The ‘peaceful protester’ image he presents to journalists appears to be a façade that hides an intense hatred of Israel and a burning ambition to see the world’s only Jewish state replaced by yet another Arab-Muslim majority country.

Remi Kanazi From Canary Mission: Remi Kanazi has justified terrorism, belittled the Holocaust and demonized Jews. He has also supported terrorists, compared Zionists to the KKK and spread hatred of Israel.
Huda Elmi is a member of Labour’s National Executive Committee. She called for the EHRC to be abolished, after it announced an inquiry into antisemitism in the Labour Party. In November 2017 she wrote in a Facebook post: ‘We must refuse to allow Israel to present itself as anything other than the truth – an ill-conceived imperial project in which generations of Palestinians have paid the price.’
Ilan Pappe Ilan Pappe is an academic at Exeter University. He has been discredited by fellow Israeli historian Benny Morris: “At best, Ilan Pappe must be one of the world’s sloppiest historians; at worst, one of the most dishonest. In truth, he probably merits a place somewhere between the two.”
Osama Abuirshad From Canary Mission: Osama Abuirshaid, American Muslims for Palestine’s national policy director based in Washington, has expressed support for Hamas, spread anti-Semitism, promoted anti-Israel incitement and praised the Muslim Brotherhood.
Dr Myriam Francois doesn’t accept that Hamas commits war crimes
Ronnie Barkan Longtime Jewish Israeli activist and maths teacher raised in Raanana, near Tel Aviv. Co-founder of ‘Boycott from Within’. Involved since 2004 in protests against the Israeli security fence. Arrested and detained a number of times. In a 2012 interview in The Electronic Intifada, he expressed approval for Palestinian violence against Israel. See him in action here[3].
Professor Hatem Bazian From Canary Mission Hatem Bazian has spread classic anti-Semitism, reportedly promoted religious anti-Semitism, denied Jewish peoplehood and Jewish history and has compared Israel to Nazi Germany.
Colin Monehan Retweets Just Jews who are a version of the antisemitism-endorsing Jews in Labour. Retweets Aron Bastani, hard left Corbyn supporter. Proud to post his photo with terrorist supporter Ahad Tamimi.
Daphna Baram is the Director of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions UK. ICAHD was an Israeli NGO which was antisemitic because it sought the end of self-determination for the Jewish people. ICAHD UK is similarly antisemitic. In addition it supports Jewish Voice for Labour, an organisation which exists to whitewash antisemitism in the Labour Party.
Julie Ward Labur MEP strongly backs the extremist group MEND. She has used antisemitic language.
David Hearst is the Editor in chief of Middle East Eye. The website BBC Watch commented that Hearst ‘never had much of a problem rubbing shoulders with Islamists’. He has also appeared to favour the ending of Israel as a state based on Judaism.

John Altman Israel-hating former East Enders actor
Andy Slaughter MP has accused Israel of deliberately killing Palestinian families and controlling the Palestinians’ calorie count. has long been close to the Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB), a Hamas front with a chilling record of promoting some of the very worst hate preachers.
Dr Swee Ang has distributed and encouraged others to distribute an openly antisemitic video by David Duke, a white supremacist and former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard. In 2014 Dr Swee Ang, circulated a link to Duke’s video entitled “CNN, Goldman Sachs and the Zio Matrix”. Medical Aid for Palestinians – which Ang founded and of which she is a Patron – has spread political propaganda, promoted antisemitism and has connections with organisations linked to the Palestinian terrorist organisation, the PFLP. Some of MAP’s annual income of £5.4 million may have been spent for political propaganda rather than for its stated purpose of providing medical aid, infringing UK charity law.
Asad Rehman Heads War On Want which is viciously anti-Israel. Advances false comparisons of Israel to apartheid South Africa. And has compared Israel to ISIS. Supports BDS.
Chris Rose Director, Amos Trust. Much of the violence on Temple Mount has been fuelled by false claims that Jews were trying to take it over Temple Mount. Yet according to Reverend Chris Rose, these acts of violence ‘have been in no small part pushed by Jewish extremist groups and the Israeli government has not been effective in countering them’. The Amos Trust fails to see that the decline in the Palestinian Christian population owes far more to the gradual Islamisation of the West Bank than to the ongoing political conflict. Amos Trust supports BDS against Israel.
Glynn Secker At the Israel Hatefest in London on May 11 he described MPs in Labour Friends of Israel as a “fifth column” and said “Jewish leaders here also turn a blind eye to the extreme right, even when their own Zionist Federation embraces the English Defence League, a neo-fascist group banned by Facebook. What on earth are Jews doing in the gutter with these rats. Promoted the conspiracy theory that Israel supports ISIS, using an antisemitic conspiracy website. Mocked the Jewish Labour Movement for meeting in a pub because they are a Jewish organisation. Has much form as regards fomenting antisemitism.
David Cronin Anti-Israel author. Suggested that the Guardian newspaper ‘is in thrall to the toxic ideology of Zionism’.
Salman Sayyid Academic who is close to the IHRC (Islamic Human Rights Commission) which organises the annual Israel-demonising Al Quds march in London. The IHRC hosts annual Islamophobia “awards”. Winners have included Charlie Hebdo (awarded after the murder of 12 of its journalists), Barack Obama and Polly Toynbee.

Supports Amos Trust whose rhetoric about Israel includes accusations of ‘apartheid,’ ‘ethnic cleansing,’ and ‘collective punishment.’
